Ceramic Foam filters are just developed as a new type molten metal filter to decrease casting flaw in recent years. With its characteristics of light-weight, high mechanical strength, large specific surface areas, high porosity, excellent thermal shock resistance, erode resistance, high-performance, ceramic foam filter is designed for filtering impurities from liquid metals.

Fuji ceramic foam filters are available in four materials: alumina,  for use with aluminum and aluminum alloys; zirconia, for use with stainless steels and nickel alloys; silicon carbide, for use with grey iron, ductile iron, precious metals, copper, bronze, brass and investment casting; and Magnesia,for use with magnesium alloy.

Fuji range of ceramic foam filter have many excellent properties,It has many applications in foundries for production of high quality castings.

All of the materials are available in square, round and custom geometric shapes; sizes ranging from 10mm up to 600mm, and thicknesses from 10-50mm. Pore densities from 10-40 pores per inch are available.
